This is an Open Beta modification to the existing game Rome Total War Alexander.

I searched all over the net to put together all the files needed to install this thing. My kids assure me it\'s awesome and worth the trouble. I am putting it up here to save somebody else the headache.

1) READ DIRECTIONS INCLUDED! I\'m also including a doc and txt file with detailed instructions which will work if you read them before you begin.

2) PLEASE NOTE! This is not for beginners. This requires a medium computer skill level to pull off. But, if you know what you are doing, it absolutely works.

3) I\'m running on Windows XP, I can’t say if it will work on Vista.

4) You have to have Rome Total War plus both Barbarian Invasion and Alexander expansion packs installed for this to work. You also have to have the patches installed for Rome Total War to update to v 1.5. and the patch to update Barbarian Invasion to 1.6

5) There is a torrent that works and will correctly install everything you need to get a copy of Rome Total War ready for the LOTR Mod. at

I recommend this specific torrent because I used it myself. This torrent also requires medium to advanced skills to install. People leaving comments that it doesn\'t work don\'t know how to install a crack in a program directory.

Correction! I need to make a correction to the included detailed instructions. When explaining how to install Rome Total War from the recommended torrent above, I forgot to include when to apply the patch 1.6. Apply it after you apply the Barbarian Invasion Crack. So the new instructions look like this:

a) Install Rome Total War
b) Apply the Crack
c) )Apply Patch 1.3
d) Apply Patch 1.5
e) Install Barbarian Invasion
f) Apply Barbarian Invasion Crack
g) Install Patch 1.6
h) Install Alexander
i) Apply Alexander Crack
