"Skins revolves around the lives of a group of 16 - 19 year-old friends who live in Bristol. The Dawson Brothers claim the series represents the
everyday lives of adolescents. The group includes: a popular boy (Tony), a Muslim boy (Anwar), an openly gay boy (Maxxie), an intelligent and
privileged girl with family problems (Jal), a party animal in love with his teacher (Chris), a pushover who is in love with his best friend's
girlfriend (Sid), a girl who is worried about her boyfriend's feelings for her (Michelle), and a girl with an eating disorder (Cassie). These
characters attend the fictional Roundview Sixth Form College in Bristol. Each instalment has a self-contained theme focusing on each different
character respectively, but there are several story arcs that span different episodes."
