In return for a share of the plunder, a New Providence plantation owner by the name of Van Brugh arranges with pirate raider Charley Vane to launch a diversionary attack on Nassau, in order to lure Captain Rogers out to sea, leaving the town unprotected. But, Van Brugh’s Wife overhears a meeting between her husband, and Vane, and secretly warns Rogers, in time to foil the plan.
