The spalmidon is the first sonic universe composed by electroacoustic generators capable of reproducing and evoluting. Thesegenerators constitute the elements of a population. They have theability to move within a temporal space, to be transformed and to bemerged with other generators, in order to reproduce and to finally die.During their existence, some of them will be affected bydramatic mutations (distortions, delay) modifying their harmonicspectrum, but adding new colors to the whole spalmidon. Some otherswill become parasites by hijacking the sound functions of theircongeners to their advantage.
All of these mechanisms allows the constitution of a new artificial life form: the spalmidon.?
