Hi there folks.
Here comes a upload for all of you who love the old Beat generation (kerouac, Ginsberg, Burroughs and others) :-)
This is a rare and nowadays "hard to get" 4-CD collection with Allen Ginsberg reading (and sometimes singin) his own poems and lyrics..
Allen Ginsberg "left the building" in 1997, but was an intellectual, sometimes provocative rebel even up until his death (which some of the tracks on CD 4 shows).
Allen Ginsberg was first widely known for his poetry book "howl and other poems" when it was released back in 1956. That was during the McCarthy-era in the USA and the moral morons and idiots tried their best to stop that masterpiece of poetry, the book was dragged into the courtroom. It was forbidden to sell during the trial, but the (back then)small rebellious publishing company "City Lights" didn´t care :-). The outcome? Well, that poetry book survived...
