Stummfilmkomiker Al St. John in den vierziger Jahren einen festen Platz
in den Herzen der Western-Fans. In zahlreichen Filmen, die spaeter bei
uns unter dem Reihentitel "Western von gestern" liefen, war er zunaechst
La Rue zu sehen. Letzterer ausserte sich begeistert ueber St. Johns
Faehigkeit, ueber ein Streicholz zu stolpern und dann aufregende
fuenfzehn Minuten das zu suchen, worueber er gestolpert war.
