While traveling back to London on the Orient Express, Hercule Poirot meets a wealthy businessperson known as Ratchett. Ratchett ask for Poirot’s services of who is threatening to kill him. However, Poirot doesn’t agree to help him but the next morning Ratchett is found murdered in his cabin. Therefore, when Poirot is asked to investigate this murder, Poirot soon discovers that this murder is linked back to another crime years ago and of those from that crime might be the killer on board the train.

Pendant que voyageant de retour à Londres sur l'Exprès d'Orient, Hercule Poirot rencontre une personne de métier riche connue comme Ratchett. Ratchett demande les services à Poirot de qui menace de le tuer. Cependant, Poirot ne consent pas à l'aider mais le Ratchett de lendemain matin est trouvé assassiné dans sa cabine. Donc, quand Poirot est demandé d'examiner ce meurtre, Poirot découvre bientôt que ce meurtre est relié de retour à un autre ans de crime il y a et de ceux-là de ce crime pourrait être le meurtrier sur monte le train.
