In response to an earlier question in the shoutbox, I have prepared this
starter pack.

Contains:

Video ReDo Plus v2.2.1.445 + crack
GordianKnot.RipPack.0.35.0.Setup.2
DVDDecrypter_3.5.4.0
GSpot270a
K Lite Codec Pack Final

and
Jaffa's Encoding Guidev2.1


Video ReDo Plus v2.2.1.445 is an editing suite, though very limited, is good for
the beginner, and is used in the tutorial.

GordianKnot.RipPack.0.35.0.Setup.2 is the system that is used to crop and
compress the files, and is also used in the tutorial.

DVDDecrypter_3.5.4.0 links up with Gordian Knot, and allows for dvd ripping.
This program should be linked with Gordian Knot through the 'Program Paths'
tab.

GSpot270a is a small package that provides you with all the necessary specs
that many sites demand when uploading, this one included.

K Lite Codec Pack Final contains all the codecs that you are likely to need to
play any of the type of files that are often uploaded. A player is very much a
personal choice, and the latest VLC player is just as good. Personally, I use
both of them.
