Plot Outline
The Minivers, an English \"middle-class\" family experience life in the first months of World War II. While dodging bombs, the Miniver\'s son courts Lady Beldon\'s granddaughter. A rose is named after Mrs Miniver and entered in the competition against Lady Beldon\'s rose.

Don\'t be put-off by this rather prosaic outline, Mrs Miniver won 7 Oscars! It is an atmospheric and beautifully portrayed picture of those difficult times.

When there was some concern over the original release, Winston Churchill apparantly insisted on it saying \"...it was worth a whole battle Fleet.\" Or something like that.
