The base ROM (which you MUST install) combines a CFS (Completely fair Scheduler) version of the kernel with the 10MB RAM hack, which steals some of the system graphics emmory for use by the system and apps. Or, after the base is installed, you can over lay a CFS version of the kernel without the 10MB RAM Hack. You might need to do this if you plan to run apps that NEED that extra 10MB of video RAM to run or run well. Alternatively, you can choose to apply a BFS (Brain Fuck Scheduler) version of the kernel either the 10MB RAM hack or a BFS version without it. You only install one of these after laying down the base.
