Well it's gone. This really was the last winter for Tennessee Pass and what a pity it had to close. Taped in January 1997 with lots of snow and sunshine and superb scenery. This is one of the best tapes I've seen, it got good reviews in both "Trains" and "Railfan" magazines. Excellent trip, The scenery is just magnificent, the trains are working hard, and the sight and sound of 4 head end AC's, 4 AC swing helpers and 2 AC's on the rear of a mammoth coal train grinding through the double S-curves at Mitchell is an unforgettable experience.
