Meet the Gustafsons: A family that nearly eats TNT and RDX for breakfast. Blowing things up is their life. They've blasted everything from nuclear missile silos in the former Soviet Union to the single longest structure ever felled: a near mile long bridge that spanned the Cuyahoga River Valley in Ohio. From getting the contract, to the pre-planning on their Wyoming ranch, to testing and seismographic scanning of the site, to rigging the structure, to throwing the switch, we are there with this explosive bunch. With mistakes and/or failures potentially catastrophic to life, limb and property, tensions run high. To appreciate these stakes, we dip back into the recent past to see what could go right, and what could go wrong with each demolition. This allows for a continual, visually exciting stream of demolitions throughout each hour-long episode. The climax - the demolition we've followed and are waiting for. Multiple cameras, including cameras inside of the structures that will send back images until the very end, will cover this event. The final "blow" will be spectacular!
